“I thought about the black men who turned their heads during slavery as if they didnt know the white master was raping their wife, daughter, sister, and even mother. I tried to understand what it was that gives black men the capacity to say and do nothing while they are being so obviously violated.... Were they cowards or just survivors?” ~ Sister Souljah; from the novel, “No Disrespect” This show is dedicated to my black men who for so long have been misunderstood by society, as well as by black women. This episode will delve deep into the societal stereotypes that black men face from day to day, and to dispel the stereotypes of WHO they really are as MEN. This conversation is to open our eyes to the degradation that black men face in society, in their own homes, and from black women. Id like to challenge the listeners to think long and hard prior to listening to this show. Id like you all to challenge yourself to take a look at the black men you cross paths with in the days leading up to this show, and imagine what that brotha may be going through at that current time. I look forward to having this open and truthful discussion. I guarantee this show will give you enlightened insight on what our black men are dealing with each day. I invite you to phone in live on-air to (646)200-3148
