Morning Prayer/40 Day Challenge 11/2 "Mercy for Neighbors.."

Friday, November 2nd 4 Days until Election Day Day 36 Prayer Guide: Pray for righteous leaders to be elected and remove those who have displayed unrighteous authority. Well we just had Reformation Day and All Saints Day. How about we focus this morning on our neighbors, whether theyre saints or not. "Mercy for Neighbors in Need" is todays title. Most of the previous 35 devotions covered a specific individual, all considered saints. But how about those around you, you might know but wed consider a stranger, or perhaps that person across the street is a stranger to you. How would you respond to them if they were in need? Lets look to Jesus for the answer. Faith and Founders: Truth - Religion and Law. Well look at Justice James Wilson. He was one of the original Supreme Court members, and also a signer of both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. In addition to whats on the prayer guide this morning I ask that today we say another prayer regarding the developing Benghazi scandal. Weve prayed that truth be revealed and for honest media coverage and just attention to begin with. Lets say a prayer for those families who this has directly affected. Since we talked about mercy and neighbors today, lets say a prayer for those who might be sick or in need to close out this morning.
